We are a team of highly motivated and curious entrepreneurs. We have already gained experience in numerous large and small law firms, management consultancies and various tech start-ups. Together, we bring this experience together and create something completely new in legal services.
We live diversity: our more than 100 eagles speak more than 20 languages and have 13 different countries of origin. We celebrate Christmas, Ramadan, Hanukkah and many other festivals. 40 percent of the teams are led by women.
As an alternative legal service provider, we represent a genuine alternative to traditional law firms. We are prepared to break new ground and not stick to old systems. Our constantly growing product portfolio keeps our work varied and exciting.
At eagle, we are convinced that the use of new technologies will revolutionize the legal market. As a pioneer in the legal tech sector, we have therefore made it our mission to rethink processes and find smart and contemporary solutions for every use case using state-of-the-art technology and AI.
We work with concentration - and those who work can also celebrate! And we can do that. We let it rip several times a year. Fixed dates are our summer party and our Christmas party. Every Friday we get together for "Fun Friday", where we drink a beer (or two) together after work.

Why did you found eagle?
I felt a strong inner urge to create and wanted to work on topics and business models of my generation in the field in which I was trained, i.e. law. The fact that eagle ended up in its current form as an alternative legal service provider was not so clear at the beginning, but of course I am now very pleased.
What did you do before that?
After my 2nd state examination, I worked as an M&A lawyer at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. Later, I built up the legal department of the fintech start-up auxmoney as General Counsel, gained operational experience at a fast-growing tech company and tasted entrepreneurial blood.
What do you like about Niko?
Niko and I have known each other for more than 20 years. We studied together at Bucerius Law School. Since then, we have had a friendly and very trusting relationship, from which we and eagle ultimately benefit immensely. Unlike me, Niko has never worked as a traditional lawyer, but joined the strategy consultancy McKinsey straight after his second state examination. The know-how and the often “non-lawyerly” way of thinking that he brings with him from that time is what makes us and our combined skillset so unique and extremely good. I appreciate his skills at the bar and his soccer savvy at least as much – as Westphalian natives, we are both die-hard BVB fans.
What do you do when you’re not working?
I can often be found at afterwork on Fridays with other eagles. At the weekend, I spend time with my family. I have two small children with whom I enjoy being outdoors. Another passion of mine is sport, I like to play with the ball and in a team, and if possible actively, otherwise just as a spectator.
Which eagles are we looking for?
eagle is young, eagle is fast, eagle is smart. We are not a traditional law firm, even though we now have many lawyers and legal service managers working for us. Our approach is different, we try to solve every legal problem with the greatest possible technical support and as efficiently as possible. Climate protection through science - eagle becomes "Friend of Bucerius Law School"
eagle lsp is stepping up its commitment to climate protection. As a member of the Leaders for Climate Action initiative, eagle has been actively involved in climate protection for some time. In addition, eagle is now also supporting the newly founded “CECS – Center for Interdisciplinary Research on Energy, Climate and Sustainability” at Bucerius Law School and thus becomes a “Friend of Bucerius Law School”. The new center focuses its research on the legal side of the four core fields of sector coupling, digitalization as an instrument of the energy transition, green finance and CO2 savings potential along the product life cycle.
